“This is a client centered practice and our therapists respect boundaries.”
In 2007 Karen Mercer established a community organization providing psychotherapy services in Baltimore County and surrounding areas. In 2016, Mrs. Mercer and Dr. Karyn Felder-Moore recognized a need to assist recent pastoral counselor and graduate-level interns in building their private practice while earning clinical hours and supervision required for full licensure. This partnership birthed A Renewed Mind Behavioral Health Center.

" My way of being with a client is to provide a safe space where they are heard. "
Our first session: sharing who I am and what I do. Also, we leave that day with a plan going forward. I determine which treatment plan works within the timeframe that’s comfortable for you.
However, I am not just providing a place to talk. I give Homework! My goal is to get you skilled in a parameter of time that moves our sessions forward consistently. Getting someone to be thankful changes their mood and outlook; we move from dwelling on what’s going wrong to what can be better.
